About

theaffiliateblogger.co.uk is an affiliate marketing and affiliate management blog. I’ve written this as a way to keep track of all the news, and issues in affiliate marketing and to try and provide new affiliates and marketers with insights.

This isn’t meant to be some sort of get rich quick blog, neither is it going to tout you with free ebooks and other trashy scams, this blog is free, and provides free information about affiliate marketing. I’m even happy to answer any questions readers might have, free. This being said, I’ve placed ads on the site, afterall, a guys got to eat right? This being said it’s entirely your choice if you want to support us, I’ll be blogging here regardless.

About me

I’ve worked in affiliate marketing since 2004, I started at a Lead Gen affiliate marketing network as an affiliate marketing Executive before being promoted to an affiliate manager. I then moved to working for a small agency/affiliate setting up and managing an affiliate campaign directory, in 2007 I moved to a large digital agency where I managed the affiliate campaigns for Tote Sport, Vitabiotics, Millet Sports, The Children’s Mutual, Scottish Friendly and Ski Republic.

In 2009 I moved to Blue Barracuda, a full service digital agency where i head up the affiliate department managing – Vitabiotics, Cupid and Grace, Hamleys, Safe Store, Pizza Hut, BAA, Healthy Direct, Angels Fancy Dress, Kiddicare and Fat Face.

I’ve also completed the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Diploma in Digital marketing, and have a degree in Graphic Design.I’m also Google Adwords certified.

From the affiliate side, I run custom minifig a lego fan site that generates around £300 a month. I also own Freebie town a UK freebie site as well as a few smaller niche affiliate sites. Most of these sites rank well as a result of my interests in SEO, to a lesser degree i do some PPC work but this isn’t an area I’m an expert in. As it stands i’m hardly a super affiliate, or even a big affiiate, but it pays for treats and is an excellent source of residual income for relatively little work.
